Hi guys,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter!
Today I want to talk to you about a singing residential I went on: NYC (National Youth Choir). This course was recommended to me by my music teacher at school, and I am glad she told me about it because I had a blast.
What we did:
There where three courses happening at the same time - two FNBs and one MNB. The course I was on was an FNB at Rutland. After four days of 8 hours of singing, body percussion, and socials each day, on the fifth day (Sunday), we performed at the amazing Warwick Arts Centre.
My favourite part was when all three courses came together to create a masterpiece, while a famous artist called Coco created origami pieces that were inspired by our singing.
Would I go again:
This is a national choir, with people coming from all over the country. I think any young singer should try one of these courses — it’s a great way to improve your singing, meet new people, and have lots of fun!
I would definitely go again!
Speak to you soon.
Love,
Ini
